Children turn back clock to Dickens’ London!

The littlest theatre-goers are discovering Dickens’ London at the New Vic this Christmas thanks to a spectacular story time with a difference.

Tale Trail to A Christmas Carol is giving children the chance to jump into the pages of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol to experience the delights of the classic story for themselves.

Led by the Christmas Spirit, the interactive session sees characters from the classic brought to life, with children encouraged to join Scrooge on a journey of discovery while enjoying party games with Fred and meeting Bob Cratchit along the way.

The project, developed by the New Vic Education team to encourage parents and carers to share stories with their children, has been designed by the same creative team currently wowing the crowds with the New Vic’s A Christmas Carol.

Sarah Richardson, New Vic Education Practitioner, said: Tale Trail to A Christmas Carol is fantastic opportunity to step inside Charles Dickens’ classic story.

Tale Trail gives our young audience and their grown-ups a chance to explore these stories together and we hope it will inspire in them a love of books and sharing stories and a love of theatre too."

Tale Trail to A Christmas Carol runs until Saturday 22 December, information on availability is available by telephoning Box Office on 01782 717962.
