Classic storytelling, a spectacular adventure and theatrical ingenuity aplenty take centre-stage Staffordshire’s New Vic Theatre this Christmas as the theatre-in-the-round’s award-winning creative team stages an all-new production of Mark Twain’s The Prince and The Pauper.
Adapted and directed by New Vic Artistic Director Theresa Heskins and brought to life by the team behind the theatre’s adaptations of The Borrowers, Treasure Island and the UK Theatre Award-winning The Snow Queen, the production runs from Saturday 16 November 2019 to Saturday 25 January 2020.
An enchanting tale of a chance, life-changing meeting between two people, The Prince and The Pauper will bring together all the hallmarks of a New Vic Christmas show brimming with heart, humour, music, larger than life characters, puppetry and ingenious set and costumes created by the New Vic’s in-house on-site Workshop.
