Become a Theatrical Landlord!
We are looking for local residents and landlords, preferably within easy walking distance (a mile or two) of the New Vic, to provide accommodation for out-of-town actors and stage professionals.
If you have a spare, comfortable & furnished room and are willing to share other facilities in your house, you might want to consider contacting us. Or if you have a furnished house to rent out, and would be happy to do this on a relatively short term basis, we’d also be interested in hearing from you.
Our actors stay in the area for 7 or 8 weeks, longer for our Christmas shows. Directors, show crew and other theatre professionals usually need accommodation for shorter periods.
Rooms in shared houses are usually let for £70-£100 per week inclusive of bills (if you’re only renting out one room then the rent can be tax free as part of the Rent A Room scheme). Fully furnished properties vary depending on size but generally range between £120-£170 per week.
