Spain. July 1492: the deadline for the expulsion of the Jews is days away. At twilight a Jewish woman lights the lamps and starts up her spinning wheel. It is her last night in Seville. She tunes into voices of a community of Jewish, Christian and Muslim women from across the Spanish peninsula.

A combination of music and theatre which fuses a plethora of extraordinary instruments including the Arabic oud and sounds from the rich cultural heritage of the Iberian Peninsula in the Middle Ages, featuring plaintive Sephardic songs and lively medieval Cantigas and instrumentals.

Play by Clare Norburn; Clare Norburn & Ariane Prüssner: Voices;
Joy Smith: Harp, Percussion; Giles Lewin: Oud; Fatima Lahham: Recorders; Suzanne Ahmet as The Jewish woman; Blanca: Nicholas Renton: Director; Natalie Rowland: Lighting Designer.
