The New Vic and Upswing are back at the Potteries Centre during the February half term holiday next week with a range of introductory circus workshops for young people and their families.
On Thursday 15 February, three exciting free-to-attend workshops will take place throughout the day designed for young people aged between 3 and 11. Participants will have the chance to explore various circus skills such as juggling, hula-hoop and acro balance. These taster sessions must be pre-booked using this link: Upswing Events | Eventbrite.
Later that day, a specialist workshop for circus artists, practitioners, teachers, and performers living or working in Stoke on Trent or the surrounding areas will also take place and is available for sign up here: Handstands Workshop Tickets, Thu, Feb 15, 2024 at 3:45 PM | Eventbrite.
On Friday 16 February, Midlands-based circus company Circus Mash will join the team to host some drop-in sessions from 12pm-3.45pm focusing on aerial balance and coordination and then on Saturday 17 February Upswing will stage breathtaking aerial performances in the shopping centre and host drop-in workshops throughout the day open to anyone aged 8 and above.
