We’re searching for budding young performers – do you want to perform in our Christmas production?

9th July 2019

We’re searching for budding young performers to appear in our production of The Prince and The Pauper this Christmas.

We’re looking for local young people in school years 7 to 9 to take part in a Summer School at the end of August, after which a number will be offered places in the production.

Taking place from Tuesday 27 to Saturday 31 August, the Summer School will see children work alongside industry creatives taking part in music, drama and dance activities.

Jill Rezzano, Head of New Vic Education, said: “We are so lucky to have such talented and enthusiastic young people on our doorstep. We are greatly looking forward to welcoming the next generation of New Vic Young Company members to the New Vic to enjoy a week of music, dance and drama. As well as providing the chance to be part of our Christmas production Young Company, Summer School is a great opportunity to work with industry professionals and make new friends.”

Summer School is available to book onto now. Places are limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis. The cost for this Summer School is £85.00, concessions £65.00 and participants should be confident performers but no previous experience is necessary.
