The New Vic’s Senior Youth Theatre has turned back the clock to share the stories and secrets of Stafford’s Ancient High House.
The group visited the popular Tudor museum in Staffordshire’s county town to perform tales of the building’s rich history and the lives of the people who have lived there.
The group of 16 to 18-year-olds spent two intensive days devising their pieces and creating characters based on fact after a term spent researching High House’s history and learning about immersive performances.
Pieces were then performed in various rooms in the house in front of audiences of parents, friends and museum-goers.
Katherine Hughes, New Vic Theatre Director, said: “It went really well, the group performed beautifully. The feedback was very positive – we have even been invited back to perform at Christmas which is very exciting!”
